Identifying & Prioritizing Street Improvements
The City of Wyoming improves a select number of local streets each year. The selected streets are identified annually on our five-year map. Improvements are prioritized based on factors such as age, street condition, utilities condition and the type of street.
Completed Projects
Since 2014, the City has completed a street improvement project each year. The City has reconstructed approximately 21.15 miles of streets in total of its 70 miles of city streets. To view our completed projects, view the map here.
Improvement Strategies
Street reconstruction and reclamation are generally chosen for streets in poor condition.

Street Maintenance
Maintenance of Wyoming's City streets is a high priority. Under the Public Works Department, the Street Division maintains and improves all the City streets for safety and mobility throughout the year. The Street Division's mission is to keep the streets open, passable and safe all seasons of the year and perform high quality maintenance to prolong the life of the streets, using the best practices to obtain the greatest benefit from available funds.
