Officer Professional Conduct and Standards

The public has the right to expect efficient, fair and impartial law enforcement. Therefore, any misconduct by Wyoming Police employees will be thoroughly investigated, and properly adjudicated to assure the maintenance Public trust.

 

If you wish to file a complaint against any officer of this department, you will need to complete the attached from and sign the complaint form, drop it off at the Police Department or mail it to:

How the Process Works 

  1. A Citizen Complaint Form needs to be filled out completely and signed (any assistance you need will be given in completing the form).

  2. You will be given a copy of this form. 

  3. The form will be forwarded to the Professional Standards Officers. 

  4. The Professional Standards Officers will investigate any complaint and will notify you of their findings.

It is a crime to make false allegations - MN STATUTE 609.749 ENTITLED HARASSMENT; STALKING; PENALTIES SPECIFIES THAT IT IS A FELONY TO MAKE A FALSE ALLEGATION OR PROVIDE FALSE INFORMATION AGAINST A PEACE OFFICER CONCERNING THEIR OFFICIAL PERFORMANCE OR DUITES.
