In 2023, the legislature enacted new laws legalizing adult-use cannabis and establishes a regulatory framework for the cannabis industry. The regulatory framework will take time to develop and will be managed by the Office of Cannabis Management (OCM). The OCM will release applications, issue licenses and develop regulations outlining how and when a business can participate in the new adult-use industry in Minnesota. Visit the Office of Cannabis Management for more detailed information about the new laws.
The City of Wyoming will provide further information regarding cannabis licensing as it becomes available.
Starting July 1, 2023, all sellers of taxable cannabis products must register with the Minnesota Department of Revenue to remit the new Cannabis Tax. More information is available on the Minnesota Department of Revenue's website.
