To promote meaningful police/citizen interaction with an emphasis on problem solving and public education.

 

Background

The Wyoming Police Reserve Program was founded in 2009 and is authorized for 10 members. Our volunteer, non-sworn, Reserve Officers assist the Police Department by promoting safety, assist during special events, as well as during significant incidents and disasters. Reserve Officers perform the following tasks: 

  • Neighborhood and park patrols

    • Natural disaster, emergency response, traffic and crowd control

  • Search for lost or missing persons

  • Crime scene security

  • Bike Patrol

  • Training Role players

  • Special events
