2026 Residential Street Improvement Project

- March 3, 2026 - Approve Plans & Specification/Order Ad for Bid
- April 8, 2026 - Bid Deadline
- April 21, 2026 - City Council Awards Contract
- Early Summer 2026 - Begin Construction
- Fall 2026 - Final Completion
- October 2026 - Assessment Hearing
About:
The proposed improvements would consist of milling off the top layer of asphalt and overlaying the underlying pavement with a new layer of pavement. Improvements also include spot curb replacement, spot walk replacement, adjust manholes and gate valves, re-stripe roadway, and fix any drainage issues. The City Council approved this project for an advertisement of bids on March 3, 2026. A bid will be awarded in April.

- Freeport Avenue from 259th Street to Forest Boulevard Trail
- 258th Street from Freeport Avenue to Goldfinch Avenue
- Goldfinch Avenue from 259th Street to Goodview Avenue
- Friesland Court from 258th Street to cul-de-sac
- 257th Street from Highway 61 to Forest Boulevard Trail
- Forest Boulevard Trail from 257th Street to Goodview Avenue
- Forest Boulevard Circle from Forest Boulevard Trail to cul-de-sac
- Freeport Avenue from Forest Boulevard Trail to dead end
- Forest Boulevard Lane from Forest Boulevard Trail to Freeport Avenue
Street Parking Closed:
Vehicle access to driveways will be restored at the end of each working day. There may be times during construction that access along the project streets are limited during the daytime hours. Residents will be notified of impacts to access of individual driveways.
